Candidate for Scotch Plains Township Council
Gabrielle Gilles
Lifelong resident and small business owner
Born and raised here
Gabrielle Gilles was born and raised in Scotch Plains and is raising her family in the same town. She brings a perspective rooted in the daily realities of local families and small businesses, because she lives them.
Bite Me Bakery
Gabrielle owns Bite Me Bakery, a pop-up bakery that regularly appears at the Scotch Plains Farmers Market and other local events. Running a small business in town means she sees first-hand what local owners are up against.
Serving the community
A familiar face across the township, Gabrielle is an active member of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood PTA, the Rotary Club of Scotch Plains-Fanwood, the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Alumni Association, and the Preserve Shady Rest Committee.
Why she is running
“I am running because I believe our community deserves leadership that prioritizes safety and gets growth right. As someone who lives here, is raising my family here, and runs my business here, I see where we need to slow down. My focus will be on supporting public safety, protecting taxpayers, and making sure any change is truly what’s best for Scotch Plains before we approve it.”
Her campaign centers on safety, transparency, and responsible growth that puts Scotch Plains families first.
